A new Netflix exclusive: Popples

As a child of the ‘80s, I am a fan of all things “retro”. The toys, the clothes, the TV shows.

I can remember playing with Cabbage Patch Kids, Barbies, and, of course, Popples. In case you don’t remember, they were the cute, furry creatures that could roll themselves into a ball and then POP! into action. I still think back to the day when I was six or seven, being jealous of my friend’s new Popple from Santa. “He even put my initials on the tag,” she said. (As I would learn later in life, the initials TM are on nearly every product in the world and stand for trademark, not her moniker.)

Now, a new generation can experience the fun of Popples with a brand new, Netflix-exclusive animated series. Following the Best Popple Pals, Bubbles, Sunny, Lulu, Izzy and Yikes, kids will be able to laugh along with their crazy antics as they cause havoc, but always seem to save the day.

The series will premiere on October 30, 2015, exclusively for Netflix members (with Popples toys soon to follow!), with 26 half-hour episodes. Here’s your sneak peek into the world of Popplopolis and the Popples.
