Hand wall hanging

By Katie Douglas & Sarah Mundinger on June, 08 2012

Nothing freezes time like a hand print. Help your child create an extra special gift.

You'll need:

  • painter’s canvas or board
  • acrylic paint
  • foam brush
  • old newspaper
  • imagination
  • found branch from outside
  • glue gun

Directions:

  1. Apply thin layer of paint to your child’s palm.
  2. Have your child practise making one or two handprints on the newspaper so you know how much paint works best.
  3. Press handprints on canvas to look like a tree. Let dry.
  4. Hot glue branch in place.
