Cottage country family fun calendar for June 7-9

Even though the weather is up and down there is still tons of fun events and activities for families and kids. The key with kids in this weather if you're doing an outside activity is to be prepared and dress in layers. Be prepared with extra chilly weather stuff or an umbrella and wear layers so if it warms up, you can shed the layers if you need to.

If you haven't already, now is the time to book summer day camps for your kids. There are some fun activities including biking, golf, horseback riding, art workshops, wildlife interaction, swimming, science exploration and more!! Please visit our summer day camp page on our website for a long list of kid-friendly attractions offering day camps in areas north of Toronto. These can be considered also when visiting or cottaging in the areas. Think about that, parents! Quiet time at the cottage for Mom & Dad, oh yah!

We are happy to report we are well on our way to compiling our top 20 super summer family getaway offers from our members. And whoa! There are some really fun vacation packages at family favorite resorts, cottage-resorts, lodges and hotel/motels.

Father's Day 2013 promises al ot of fun for families together for just Dad! See our in-depth Father's Day page for ideas on getaways, events and activities happening.

Kids and family events and activities for the weekend ahead, by area:

These events are within one to three hours north of Toronto and are reasonable when considering a day trip, or stay at any family friendly accommodation and extend the fun. These events would also be within proximity or close to many of Ontario's 'cottage country'.
