Dr. Chase Kolik Gripe Water – Original and Alcohol Free 

Gripe Water is an old-time English remedy for soothing babies’ gripes that has been passed down from generation to generation for more than a century. Dr. Chase Kolik Gripe Water is effective for gentle relief from babies’ discomforts including colic, cramps, upset stomach, hiccups, and teething. 

What is colic? 

Colic is an acute pain in the stomach or bowels, a cramping, gripping kind of abdominal pain that used to be called “the gripes”. Approximately one out of every five newborn babies suffer from colic. Unfortunately, scientists still do not know exactly what causes it. 

Dr. Chase Kolik Original Gripe Water 

This is a time-honoured formulation that contains a very small amount of alcohol to solubilize and preserve the essential oils of the active ingredients, dill and ginger. 

Each teaspoonful (5 mL) contains: 

• Dill Oil 0.002 mL  
• Ginger Tincture 0.05 mL  
• Sodium Bicarbonate 50 mg  

• Alcohol 0.1945 mL (3.89% v/v)

Dr. Chase Kolik Alcohol Free Gripe Water 

We recognize that some parents would prefer not to administer any preparation containing alcohol to their infants. For them, we have developed Alcohol-Free Dr. Chase Kolik Gripe Water, the first alcohol free gripe water in Canada. In this formulation, only purified water is used to extract the antigas and stomach-calming properties of natural source fennel oil, from fennel seed. Fennel has been a reliable remedy for centuries, as it helps relieve stomach pains and cramps due to gas. 

Each teaspoonful (5 mL) contains: 

• Oil of Fennel 2.5 mg  
• Sodium Bicarbonate 50 mg
