It ain’t over yet!

Summer is back. Mother Nature has turned up the dial on the heat and sunshine! For the weekend, we should put the ‘back to school’ part out of our minds and have fun! The weather forecast looks fantastic and we need to finish this summer off right!

Check out our guest-blog post by Toronto4Kids on how to store and save all the souvenirs and mementoes your kids have collected over the summer.

This weekend continues to bring the Tall Ships Tour around Georgian Bay. And there is no better place to see the ships than in towns with rich marine heritage like Collingwood and Owen Sound last weekend and Midland, Penetanguishene and Discovery Harbour this weekend. This weekend’s tour is extra special in combination a couple other fun activities in Midland, like the Harbour Festival and the Miss Midland will be offering cruises amongst the Tall Ships. How cool is that?

Tall Ships 1812 Tour - Parents Canada

This type of event is important for our kids in learning about Canada’s history and the War of 1812. Some of the content and specifics will be lost on them depending on age, but there is no better way to learn than to literally step back in time and see the ingenuity and watch the impressive stories of our military history that shaped the country we live in today.
