There are getaways, events and activities happening everywhere giving families a ton of options when it comes to having some fun with dad. Visit our Father’s Day page and find a long list of options to do together as a family or to give dad as a gift and he can enjoy some solo time or with friends. Family Art Workshop: Regional artist Kirsty Wilson leads the whole family in creating hands-on collaborative art projects with a wide range of materials on Sunday. Sign up early on the day of the workshop. Space is limited.

Horseshoe Resort Adventure Park: Fun for the family with the zip lining and treetop trekking course; build your golf skills and challenge the family to a round of mini putt or explore the Copeland Forest on Segway. Families can also have fun mountain biking on forest trails.

Village Activities at Blue Mountain Village: Scavenger hunts and other kids and family fun happening daily in Blue Mountain Village.

Blue Mountain Village BBQ Championships & Met Con Blue: Professional and amatuer BBQ teams compete head to head for cash prizes and supreme bragging rights on the CSBBQA BBQ Circuit on June 15. For junior grillers, the Kidz @ Blue competition is open to ages 18 and under. Admission is free and tasting kits are for sale.

Summer Attraction Park Blue Mountain Resort: Help dad feel like a kid again at Blue Mountain Resort. Take the exciting Ridge Runner ride or visit the now-open summer attraction park that includes fun activities like Mountaintop Segway touring, open-air gondola rides, mini-putt, a climbing wall and more!

Explore Scenic Caves: There’s a Father’s Day special at Scenic Caves Nature Adventures. On Saturday and Sunday, Fathers receive free park admission with paid child admission (ages 3-17) for caves/suspension bridge/mini-golf package. On Father’s Day (June 16 only), fathers and each member of the family receive $20-off an Eco Adventure Tour (guided treetop canopy walking and zip cable gliding). Annual Buttertart Festival: This Saturday, Midland is hosting its first annual buttertart festival. It will be a sweet sticky mess of fun, but who will have the best tart? Downtown Midland will also have outdoor street fun with vendors, buskers and other activities. 

Go Cruising: In Midland take a cruise on the Miss Midland and see Georgian Bay.

Midland Farmers’ Market: Meet farmers and artisans and have a taste of Ontario! Runs from Sunday morning at 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. across from the Midland town dock.

Downtown Shops and Docks: Check out the shops and docks in beautiful Midland! Walk about and stroll around with the kids. Check out one of the largest outdoor mural collections in North America.

Guided Canoe or Kayak Tours | Guided Walks | Reptile Show | Birds of Prey Show: Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre. Check their website for details and times.

Oliver at King’s Wharf Theatre: Take in dinner and a show at the waterfront King’s Wharf Theatre or buy him tickets for a show later in the season. Be sure to leave time for a stroll on the boardwalk

>History Day: Let dad have his fill in some of Ontario’s most interesting history at Sainte Marie amond the Hurons or Discovery Harbour.

Music in the Park: Enjoy Sunday evenings at Little Lake Park. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the music while the kids play at the park.

Doors Open: Takes place at Gravenhurst on June 15 and Bala and Port Carling on June 16. Come visit Gravenhurst Opera House, Muskoka Boat and Heritage Centre, St. James Anglican Church, D & B’s Bed & Breakfast, Auburn Gallery of Fine Art, Peters Players, David Dawson Studio, Heritage Boatworks or the Gravenhurst Fire Department No. 1.

Georgian Bay Airways: Send dad off on a flying adventure or go together as a family! Either way, there are a few great places you reach by air for fun times! Go for lunch at Henry’s Famous Fish Restaurent in Sans Souci or fly away for a remote fishing experience. They also sell ice cream at their coffee parlour!

Bayview Wildwood Resort: Have a Father’s Day brunch on June 16. It’ll be by a beautiful lakeside setting and amazing food for just $19.95/adult, $17.95/ senior and $10.95/ child (ages 6-12).
