Chances are kids all over Ontario have taken in a Santa Claus parade or two already and there are more in the forecast! Dress warmly, bring or pick up a hot chocolate and enjoy the show. Parades this year seem over the top with theme creativity, new ideas and lots of kids fun and excitement. One parade was even blessed with a float carring the King…Elvis that is!

Farmers’ Market Christmas Show: Every year the Farmers Market holds a Christmas Show comprised of regular market vendors.

Farmers’ Market: Midland’s Indoor Farmers’ & Artisans’ Market is held every Saturday from November 3, 2012 to March 30, 2013 at the North Simcoe Sports & Recreation Centre.
Festival of Northern Lights: Enjoy the beauty of Owen Sound in the Christmas season each evening from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m., as more than 25 kilometres of lights illuminate the harbour, the Sydenham riverbanks, the downtown core and Harrison Park.
By Our Hands One-of-a-Kind Show: By Our Hands is a very high quality one-of-a-kind show and is now in its fifth consecutive year. Runs from 10:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Jingle Bell Skate: Come for a free skate at the Penetanguishene Memorial Community Centre where there are jingle bells, door prizes and refreshments! A non-perishable food item in exchange for a jingle bell would be appreciated!
Mayor’s Annual Tree Lighting: Including live entertainment, crafts, photos with Santa, storytime, face painting and refreshments.
Rotary Festival of Trees: View the beautiful display of decorated tress which will magically tranform three participating malls into a Winter Wonderland.

Come Try Hockey: For boys and girls age 5 to 13. Sundays from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Party with Santa: Come for a party with Santa from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Baxter Ward Community Centre.
