Jewel returns to work with son Kase

Jewel recently sat down for a chat with Celebrity Baby Scoop about her 20-month-old son Kase, as well as her first road tour with him in tow.

Jewel says she took a year-and-a-half off to adjust to balancing between work and motherhood. “I really wanted to give myself the opportunity to learn that ‘balancing act.’ I had friends that went back to work quite early and they really regretted it, so I tried to learn from them,” she says. She admits she’s lucky that she has a job that lets her bring her so along where he can take naps in the movie trailer.

She says Kase likes doing everything. “Having a 20-month-old is fun because every day is a new exciting day. Everything is thrilling for your child at this age,” she says.

Jewel is one busy mama. She’s been an active spokesperson this past year for the ConAgra Foods initiative to bring awareness to end child hunger. The initiative brings songwriters and artists together to perform songs for their campaign. She is also set to play June Carter Cash in the Lifetime Original Movie Ring of Fire coming out this May. Her and the family then plans to summer in Colorado with her family.
