Bird seed cookies

Birdwatch from your own home by creating these bird seed cookies.

You’ll need:

• 1/2 cup bird seed
• 3 tbsp peanut butter
• 1 tbsp corn meal
• 1 tbsp flour
• water
• round cookie cutter
• straw
• twine

Directions:

1. Combine bird seed, peanut butter and corn meal in a mixing bowl.

2. In a separate bowl, mix flour with enough water to make a pancake batter consistency.

3. Pour flour mixture into mixing bowl.

4. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

5. Pat a golfball size piece of the mixure onto the paper, and use the cookie cutter to shape into a circle.

6. Carefully remove the cookie cutter. Make a hole for the string with the straw.

7. Place tray in 350° oven for 12 minutes. Flip cookies, then continue cooking for additional 12 minutes.

8. Once cookies have cooled, string twine through hole and hang!

Makes about four cookies.
