Best place to enjoy the view of a Unesco world heritage site

Marie-Eve Perron, account executive with Québec City Tourism, is fond of La Baie de Beauport, a short bike ride from Old Québec. Its one-kilometre stretch of beach along the St. Lawrence is connected to the city by a six-kilometre bike path or a 4.8-km car ride. Recently refurbished, it also delivers spectacular views of the river and of the nearby island of Orléans. Activity options are on top of the water, rather than in the water: canoeing, kayaking, sailboarding, sailing and stand-up paddling abound. It’s a great place to picnic or play ball, too.
