Saskatchewan, Good Spirit Lake

Best place to wade in the water without worrying about your feet

Long-time Waldron resident and award-winning singer-songwriter, Kat Danser, is a passionate fan of Good Spirit Lake – a provincial park with exceptional beaches, miles of sand dunes and great, all-ages swimming areas. “When I think happy memories in Saskatchewan, Good Spirit Lake comes to mind.” Not far from Canora, some 200 kilometres south of Regina, Good Spirit Lake is favoured for its foot-friendly, rock-and-weed-free, sandy bottom. Its relatively shallow depth (8 to 9 metres) accounts for its gentle, ‘bath water’ temperatures. Wildlife abounds and the camping and hiking options around the lake are inviting.
