Breakfast squares

INGREDIENTS:

1 1/2 cups sugar
2 large eggs
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp almond extract
1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups frozen cranberries
1/2 cup chopped pecans or almonds (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

1. Beat sugar and eggs in large bowl until slightly thickened.

2. Add melted butter and almond extract and beat to mix, then add flour and stir until well blended.

3. Stir in cranberries and nuts.

4. Pour batter into greased 9” pan.

5. Bake about 1 hour at 350°F.

6. Cool and cut into squares.
