Moms asked and Similac® listened

Similac® formulas are now available with non-GMO ingredients

Health Canada and leading nutrition experts agree that GMO foods and ingredients currently on the market are safe, but Canadian moms have expressed an interest for non-GMO formula. Similac® now offers its closest formula to breast milk in two non-GMO options: Similac® Advance® Omega-3 & Omega-6 non-GMO* (for babies as of birth) and Similac® Go & Grow® Omega-3 & Omega-6 non-GMO* (for babies as of six months of age; contains 50 percent more calcium to support growing babies).

Similac® Advance® Omega-3 & Omega-6 non-GMO* and Similac® Go & Grow® Omega-3 & Omega-6 non-GMO* not only contain galactooligosaccharides and DHA, they also contain lutein.

What are galactooligosaccharides?

Your baby’s digestive health depends on a healthy gut. Galactooligosaccharides help feed the good bacteria naturally occurring in your baby’s intestinal tract and may also help them grow and thrive. They also promote softer stools, more like those of breastfed babies.

What is lutein?

This antioxidant is found in breast milk, and is concentrated in your baby’s brain and eyes. The first year of life is a critical time for brain and eye development. Until your baby starts eating solid foods such as leafy greens, corn and eggs, he can only get lutein from breast milk, Similac® Advance® Omega-3 & Omega-6 or Similac® Go & Grow® Omega-3 & Omega-6 (both original and non-GMO formulas).

What is DHA?

Like lutein, this omega-3 fat is concentrated in your baby’s brain and eyes. In fact, it supports the normal physical development of the baby’s brain and eyes.

Trust the nourishment you’ve come to expect from Similac®

* Similac® products without the non-GMO label contain the same ingredients as non-GMO formulas but they are not sourced from non-GMO suppliers. “non-GMO” as it relates to Similac® refers to ingredients that are not genetically engineered.
