This yummy, fun-to-make snack is perfect for after school or after the pool.

No bake granola bars - our healthy me week special recipe: no-heat crispy chewy granola bars

Ingredients:

1 cup crispy rice cereal or crushed corn flakes
1/2 cup quick oats
1/3 cup finely shredded coconut
1/4 cup chopped raisins or dried currants
2 tbsp sesame seeds
3 tbsp cocoa
1/4 cup honey
1 tbsp canola oil

Directions:

1. In a large bowl, mix together the cereal, oats, coconut, raisins, sesame seeds and cocoa; gently use your hands to stir so that all the ingredients are evenly mixed.

2. Add the honey and canola oil and stir with a wooden spoon until well combined.

3. With dampened hands, shape the mixture into 5-cm balls; set on a sheet of waxed paper and refrigerate
until firmed up a bit, or eat immediately.

Makes about 1 dozen balls.
