At least twice a year, our family heads to Niagara Falls when
we’re in need of a mini holiday. With tons of fun things to do and
a central location, you can certainly tell that the Courtyard Marriott Niagara
Falls is one of the most family-friendly Niagara Falls hotels.
The guestrooms at the Courtyard Marriott Niagara Falls are perfect for young families, especially those with little ones who nap or go to bed early. Nothing ruins a “vacation” quite like being stuck in a dark room for naptime. Or heading to bed at 7pm praying that no one makes a noise. Our room had a massive living area with a door that closes it off from the bedroom. You could easily tuck your pack and play in the main sleeping area and relax in your living quarters during naptime. The living room was just as large as a regular hotel room!
Memory foam beds, Paul Mitchell toiletries, free WI-FI – these are all things that make for a very happy mommy.
The hotel is located within walking distance of all of the major sights, and the concierge was very helpful in determining the Niagara Falls attractions most appropriate for a 5 year old. We had a fun filled day exploring Clifton Hill and checking out the beauty of the The Falls.
When it came time for dinner, I was secretly happy that it had started raining. All we had to do was hop in an elevator and head down a few floors to The Keg – no raincoats or boots required! Not only do they have great food, they also had a live acoustic guitar player. I loved that they brought my little guy a plate of fruit, veggies and crackers as soon as we sat down, keeping him happy and occupied right from the start.
If you’re in need of a late night snack (or in our case, a pre-breakfast when my mini rooster wakes up at 6am) there’s a 24-hour “mini general store” in the lobby. You can pick up any necessities you need and pay at the front desk. It was very reasonably priced and super convenient. A great way to stock your in-room refrigerator!
The next morning we headed back to The Keg for their breakfast buffet. I loved how there was a hot pot of coffee waiting on our table before we even sat down! The enormous buffet included a fresh omelet station and tons of kid friendly food choices. It was nice to enjoy breakfast in a luxurious Keg dining setting, vs. a crammed hotel lobby.
After breakfast we headed for a swim. The indoor pool is large and warm and if you’re lucky enough to stay there in the summer there is also an outdoor pool – WITH A WATER SLIDE!
As we were checking out I noticed an electronic sign welcoming all of the families staying there for hockey tournaments – l look forward to many years ahead as a hockey mom if it means staying at amazing hotels like the Courtyard Marriott Niagara Falls!
