The Royal Botanical Gardens’ Train Show: A new winter tradition

As we continue to form new holiday traditions and prepare for our daughter’s second Christmas, we learned about the RBG Train Show on now at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington, Ont. Given her latest obsession with all things Thomas the Train Engine, we figured this exhibit would be hit with her. It proved to be a home run right from the get go!

The RBG website explains the exhibit best, “Brought to you by Applied Imagination Trains, an award winning crew of creative artists, botanical architects and landscape designers producing original public garden exhibits, seasonal displays and garden railways. This train installation is built using exclusively botanic materials and feature landscapes that celebrate Canadian landmarks.”

The attention to detail, intricate design and shear work involved in creating the installation is amazing.

Our daughter literally ran from one section of the exhibit to the next, constantly pointing at the different trains as they remained in motion, covering the various tracks interwoven throughout the display.
