Weekend Family Events in Cottage Country North of Toronto August 22 – 24

Hey ParentsCanada.com Readers!

Hard to believe the last weeks of summer are here. With cooler temps the conditions are ideal for day trips or getaways to the resort areas that are found ‘north’ of Toronto. Escape the city, enjoy nature and have some wholesome family fun.

It’s not too late to take advantage of a resort or vacation getaway package. Last minute options are good for busy family schedules and the accommodators in some of the most beautiful areas of Ontario are ready to make sure you have the summer vacation of a lifetime. From ‘Harry Potter’ dinner themes to super fun attraction pass combos, the creative juices are definitely flowing when it comes to getaways offers.

Fall Fairs begin to dot the weekend landscape. One of the most classic and fun fall traditions are midways, carnivals and fall fairs. Harvest bounties, farm animals, midway rides and games – all the sights, sounds and smells create great memories that will last a lifetime.

Whether you’re staying at a nearby resort or cottage, live in the next town over or are looking to get out of the hot city, we recommend heading to cottage country for these featured events.
