Asian Red Prince Apple Coleslaw

Asian Red Prince Apple Coleslaw - Parents Canada

Apple slaw - asian red prince apple coleslaw

While most apples are harvested in the fall, the Red Prince is a winter apple that reaches its peak after Christmas, and is only available until July each year. They’re grown in Canada, overlooking the shores of Georgian Bay in Thornbury, Ontario. Recognized for its antioxidant-rich red skin, Red Prince apples are not only delicious eaten out of hand, but are great in salads (like this simple slaw), baked goods and pair particularly well with sharp cheddars and blue cheeses.
