Barilla PLUS® Rotini with Walnuts, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese, and Basil

1 box Barilla PLUS® Rotini
1 cup (150g) walnuts, coarsely chopped
6 cup (75g) sun-dried tomatoes, olive oil packed and julienned
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 cup (50ml) extra virgin olive oil
1 cup (140g) parmigiano reggiano cheese, freshly grated
8 leaves fresh basil, chopped
season to taste


BRING a large pot of water to a boil. SAUTÉ walnuts in a small skillet for 1-2 minutes over medium heat until slightly brown.

PLACE walnuts in a large salad bowl. ADD sun-dried tomatoes, including olive oil from tomatoes; mix in garlic and olive oil. COOK Barilla PLUS® Rotini according to package directions. DRAIN; add pasta to salad bowl. ADD parmigiano reggiano cheese and basil.

SEASON to taste.

MIX well and serve.
