Family Day getaways are still an option for an out-of-town, overnight family getaway. Ontario family friendly resorts are offering some hard-to-turn-down promotions that combine some really neat and fun winter activities and cozy winter accommodations.
Family Day events specific to the holiday on Monday, February 18, include fireworks, winter sports, story telling, bird counting and more.

This long weekend presents an opportunity to experience ice fishing, license-free! Across Ontario, from February 15 to 18, it’s Family Fishing weekend. Dress the kids warmly, fill a thermos and pack some snacks – it’s more than you really need to peak your kids interest in fishing.
It was another good week for ski hills and trails. Skiing, snowshoeing and snowtubing are all fun winter activities that encourage kids be active, breathe fresh air and of course, have fun.
