In my house, I think I hear the word “mom” at least a thousand times a day, if not more. I am afarid to count and determine the actual number. Mother’s Day is all about taking a break from chores and duties and having some relaxed family fun. You deserve it.

Many of our resort and accommodation members are offering some sweet deals and expansive spreads of edible delights in honour of mom. All mothers out there deserve the indulgence and downright spoiling on this day! Not only is it a treat not to cook, but may of the brunches are a chance to try dishes prepared by popular and distinguished chefs.

With a little cooperation from Mother Nature, after a delicious brunch in cottage country, your family can hike, bike, stroll or waddle depending on how much you ate, and enjoy the spring sunshine!

If you’re looking for more than just a brunch, you can certainly find some great Mother’s Day weekend getaways and enjoy a whole weekend off!

Alliston

Nottawasaga Resort: Celebrate Mother’s Day with us! Enjoy our gourmet buffet brunch featuring garden fresh salads, an exceptional selection of hot items, a carving station, made-to-order omelettes, fresh Belgian waffles and a delectable dessert display. Georgina Resort: Mothers Day brunch takes place on May 11 for $29 per person, including a flower for your mother.

Magnetawan

Quiet Bay Log Motel: Mom’s stay for a night at the Quiet Bay Log Motel and receive a basic breakfast (one egg, homefries, toast and your choice of meat).

Port Severn

Inn at Christie’s Mill & Spa: Treat your mom this Mother’s Day. Chef Ericka & the culinary team have prepared a spectacular Mother’s Day brunch served in our Water Front dining room. Some of the brunch items include a full hot and cold selection, an omelet station, a cold seafood display, a herb & dijon crusted pork loin carving station, fresh salads and a dessert station to mention a few. We will be offering two seatings: one at 11 a.m. and one at 1 p.m. Reservations are required. $19.99/adult, $14.99/child (children 5 – 16), free/child (children 4 years and under). Rawley Resort: Celebrate Mother’s Day at Rawley Resort on May 12 at a scrumptious buffet brunch and lunch. There are two seatings offered: 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Dinner is off our menu with special features reservations starting at 5 p.m. Andrew Irvine Jazz Band will provide entertainment throughout the day and Eric will provide entertainment on his piano throughout dinner. Family Art Workshop: Sunday Workshop – Regional artist Kirsty Wilson leads the whole family in creating hands-on collaborative art projects with a wide range of materials. Sign up early on the day of the workshop. Space is limited.

Scenic Caves Special: Mothers receive free park admission with paid child admission (for children ages 3-17) for our caves/suspension bridge/mini-golf package. On Mother’s Day, mothers and each member of the family receive $30 off an Eco Adventure Tour with guided treetop walking and zip cable gliding.
