Skip the boring sandwiches and shake up your kiddo’s lunchtime routine with some fun new lunchbox ideas that are full of flavour, textures and nutrients to fuel all-day learning. Many of these lunch ideas are customizable to any child’s favourite ingredients.

DIY lunchables

Create your own version of lunchables by packing whole-grain crackers, cheese slices, deli meat and sliced veggies. Add some fruit and a fun dip, like hummus or ranch dressing.

Bento Box Meals

This is one of our favourite new lunchbox ideas! You can get creative with a bento box by packing a variety of small, colourful snacks in compartments. Cucumber slices, cherry tomatoes, cheese cubes, grapes, pretzel sticks and mini wraps all work well.

Pasta salad

Toss cooked pasta with diced vegetables, cheese cubes and a dressing of choice (such as Italian dressing or pesto). Add some protein like grilled chicken for a fun and hearty lunch option.

Mini pita pockets

Fill mini pita pockets with a mix of protein (such as grilled chicken, tuna salad or falafel), veggies and a spread like hummus or tzatziki for a fun and portable lunch.
